It's been almost a week since my big promotion to CEO of Stark Industries. It's not nearly as overwhelming as I originally thought it would be. I actually already did most of this stuff, only now it's official. Not mention in the months that Tony was missing, I picked up most the slack. So there's nothing new and surprising to me. Except of course the pay check.

Although most of the board members aren't pleased with this transition. When they politely asked Tony to step down due to his 'other obligations', I think they had someone else in mind to fill his shoes. But you know Tony. Once he has his mind set on something, there's no stopping him. I think that personally, I was the only one who he trusted with the position since I handled most of these affairs on my own anyway and that's he was so adamant. Hopefully the board members will calm down and get used to it. If not, then they'll just have to deal because I'm not going anywhere.

Speaking of replacements, Tony has already found someone to replace me as his personal assistant. Her name is Natasha Romanova and I personally think he could have chosen better. But something tells me it wasn't her resume that caught his attention. The woman is completely inappropriate for the work place and insists on dressing overly ostentatious outfits to attract every pair of male eyes that she can. She also has a major attitude problem. But anytime I bring it up, Tony won't hear it. He calls me jealous. I don't know how he can think I'm jealous since I'm the one who ended up as CEO, but go figure.

Oh, and on a personal note: don't think the color of her hair escaped me.

Way too much work to do.

The receptionist got a male stripper.

Pepper had Happy drive her up to the SI tarmac. She had a small, roller carry on with her packed with overnight things. Since Tony was planning this excursion, she might as well plan for all outcomes. Rhodey had told her that he'd meet them at the plane as well. She said thank you to Happy and got out. Looking at the plane, shielding her eyes from the California sun, she waited to see if Tony would come out.

This must be how boredom feels...

The morning was busy and the phones were slammed. Pepper of course had no problem handling it all until a blond stranger came to her desk. A few minutes later she walked into Tony's office.

"Mr. Stark, I don't mean to bother you, but there's a woman outside by the name of Mohogany who says that she knows you and she won't leave until she sees you. Personally, she looks like a cheap stripper to me, but I honestly don't have time for this. Should I send her in or call security?"

Kinda miss Stane. Is that bad?
